Gypsy Love

The inspiration behind this song came from a combination of falling deeply in love at a moment when I thought it was impossible, and reading an amazing book which embodied the love i felt..."The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. Hope the words touch you, as they continue to touch me...Enjoy :))

The above canvas was a collabo between a wonderful artist/photographer Ray Been and myself. He did this amazing close up shot of rain on a leaf, and superimposed my poem on the canvas. It sold at the auction, but we can make duplicates if you would like one. Enjoy :))

This is my next event which I am really looking forward to! A night of fund raising through visual & written arts....it's about a grassroots initiative. Come out, enjoy, support & purchase a piece or two or three ;)-

1st performance...Coffee Cave Newark, NJ 7/31/10

This past year has been FILLED with so many new experiences, which I am learning a lot from. This past Saturday has definitely been one of these. I sang for the 1st time, in my life, on stage...by myself!!! Granted, that might not be much for some....but for me, at age 37....it is part of a dream I've held onto since I was a child in my Junior High School Choir :) The night was filled with excitement, joy, nervous butterflies all in my tummy, a lil' disappointment...but countered with so much love!!! The support I received from folks who truly love me, was simply inspiring!!! I practiced day in & day out, for this 5 minute debut, lol, and all I could say is that the experience was a wonderful blessing!!! I sang my 1st single "Gypsy Love"....this is a song whose lyrics I feel from the tip of my toes to my crown chakra...dig ;)- So here are some flics from this night...hope you can feel the passion as I felt it that night....click on the title to view ;)

A couple of times a year I find it so critical to start from scratch, go straight from intuition, and regroup. In doing so, I find cleansing is the best way for me to go deep within, and find The Source to know & realize what my next steps in life are. In doing the Master Cleanse for 10 days, I started each day with prayer, then a deep mediation & intention. The word I placed before my day was givin' to me as I meditated. This cleanse helped me realize so much, as well as empowering me to release so many things/thoughts/energies I needed to let go of. During this journey, I had so many new ideas & revelations....so much clarity into my life. I share these little thoughts to let you know how powerful it is to hit the reset button once in a while....and tune into...you......TRY it!!! You'll be amazed at whom you find ;)-
